Contract Analyzer FAQ

Answers to common questions about the contract screening tool.

What does Contract Analyzer do?It scans contract text locally in your browser and highlights passages that may relate to payment, termination, renewal, confidentiality, liability and other important categories.
Is this a legal advice tool? No. It is a document screening tool and does not provide legal advice, determine whether a contract is enforceable, or replace a qualified lawyer.
Is my contract uploaded? No. Text analysis is performed locally in your browser. The tool does not require an API key or document upload server.
What clauses can it find?It looks for payment, termination, renewal, confidentiality, liability, indemnity, intellectual property, governing law, disputes, obligations and deadlines.
Can it understand every contract? No. Contract language varies widely. The tool uses local text-pattern analysis, so important clauses may be missed or incorrectly categorized.
Can I analyze a PDF?The main input accepts contract text. If your PDF contains selectable text, copy it into the analyzer. Scanned PDFs require OCR first.
Does it identify legal risks? It can flag language that deserves attention, but a flag is not a legal conclusion or proof that a clause is risky or invalid.
Can I download the results?Yes. After analysis you can copy the report or download it as a text file.
Is Contract Analyzer free?Yes. The Cobriums Contract Analyzer is designed as a free browser-based tool.
Should I use the results to sign a contract? No. Use the findings as a review checklist. For important agreements, have the contract reviewed by an appropriately qualified legal professional.
